Brady Communications Takes Second Place in National Design Competition
June 23, 2008PITTSBURGH - The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s 2006-2007 annual report, designed by Brady Communications, was awarded second place among annual reports in the 2008 American Association of Museums (AAM) Museum Publications Design Competition. The report was judged alongside publications from high-profile museums such as the Museum of Modern Art, the museums of the Smithsonian Institution and the National Aquarium at Baltimore.
Following the theme of “In the Community,” the report incorporated a paper chain of people holding hands to demonstrate the museum’s partnerships with and commitment to its community.
The report was among 150 books, catalogues, posters, invitations, press kits and other materials selected as winners of the 28th annual AAM Museum Publications Design Competition. The competition is the only national, juried event involving publications produced by museums of all types and sizes. The 2008 contest drew more than 800 entries.
