Brady Communications Awarded the “Benny” in International Print Competition

PITTSBURGH, PA - Brady Communications was awarded a Benny, the highest honor in the 2007 Premier Print Awards, for their entry Boy Scouts of America 2006 Annual Report. The Premier Print Awards, the graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious worldwide printing competition recognizes outstanding achievement in print production. Brady Communications received their “Benny” in the category of Business and Annual Reports.

The Premier Print Awards are the printing industry’s oldest and largest worldwide graphic arts competition, hosted by PIA/GATF. In its 58th year, the annual contest recognizes those responsible for the creation and production of print communications. The event promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the very best in print media. This year, over 5100 entries were received from printing and graphic arts firms from around the world, and judges awarded the Benny to the top entry in each category

Michael Makin, president and CEO of PIA/GATF, agrees. “The Benny winners represent the best our industry has to offer. This year’s entries were outstanding. There were entries from companies in 18 countries. Despite the fierce competition, Brady Communications, through hard work and dedicated craftsmanship, produced a piece worth of the Benny.”

Brady Communications has been creating the Annual Report for the Boy Scouts of America Greater Pittsburgh Council for more than ten years. Each year, the Greater Pittsburgh Council ponders its accomplishments and challenges the previous year had provided. From there, a theme is adopted and Brady Communications designs the annual report around that theme. This year called for an aged, well-used scrapbook or journal to tell the story of a year filled with many memorable moments of the Boy Scouts’ successful year.
