“Benny” Awarded to Broudy Printing and Brady Communications

PITTSBURGH, PA – (August 25, 2006)

The 2005 Greater Pittsburgh Council – Boy Scouts of America Annual Report, designed by Brady Communications, won a “Benny” award from the Printing Industries of America (PIA) and the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF). The 2006 Premier Print Award was given to Broudy Printing and Brady Communication for their production of the report. The report won the international competition for Best of Category: Business and Annual Reports, 4 or more colors.

The Bennys are named for Benjamin Franklin, who along with being an inventor and statesman, was printer of Poor Richard’s Almanack and The Pennsylvania Gazette. It is the highest Premier Print award given. According to the PIA/GATF website, “The Benny is awarded to the most outstanding entry in each category. To win, an entry must be flawless. Given this high standard, the judges do not always award a Benny in every category.”

Brian Herman of Broudy Printing says, “We are proud to work with Brady Communications on projects that meet client needs, and win recognition for design and printing.”

This is the 57th year for the Premier Print Awards from PIA/GATF to judge and recognize the best printing worldwide. More than 5,200 entries from around the globe compete for the awards.
